Spelling Bee 3

DULUTH, Minn. — The Duluth East Theatre Program is putting on a spring musical that is getting even audience members involved in the fun.

‘The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee’ is a comedic musical that centers around six students who compete in a spelling championship.

Audience members filled the theater for the opening night of the production which even has audience interactions throughout the musical.

“It’s so cool to see a bunch of people from the community really wanting to support a high school theatre program,” said student Mia Patronas. “For sure, we always have a huge outpouring of support and it means a lot to be able to share something that we so enjoy with people that we care about,” said student Molly McNamee.

Saturday is the last night of the musical, with the show starting at 7 p.m.
