Bent Paddle to Host Annual Festiversary Block Party Next Weekend

Next Saturday is Bent Paddle Brewing Company's Festiversary celebration and this year will have a theme close to many Minnesotan's hearts

DULUTH, Minn. — This year, Festiversary will not only be celebrating Bent Paddle’s 11th anniversary, but also the 40th anniversary of Prince’s album Purple Rain.

The two-block party Saturday afternoon will feature two stages of live music, family-friendly activities, and lots of options to drink and eat. And of course — Prince tribute band Chase and Ovation to close out the night. For co-founder Laura Mullen, Festiversary is about more than just Bent Paddle.

“When we started here 11 years ago, the neighborhood didn’t have as much going on,” said Mullen. “There were tons of empty store fronts and whatnot. We were a big part of the revitalization of what is now known as the Lincoln Park Craft District. So we for sure invite all of our neighbors to come and join us at Festiversary — businesses and we hope families are walking down from the Lincoln Park neighborhood, along with everywhere else in Duluth and Superior and beyond, to come and help us celebrate all things spring and all things Bent Paddle and this year all things Prince.”

Bent Paddles encourages people to come as they are — rain, shine, or purple rain — they’re ready to party. For more information and discounted advance tickets, go to bentpaddlebrewing.com/festiversary
