Duluth Boxer Faces McLaurin Saturday for State Title
Saturday night will be alright for fighting… at Black Bear Casino. ‘Throw Down at The Bear’ features a state title bout in the co–main event.
Duluth’s ‘Hope of the Hillside’, Markus ‘Hooch’ Morris battles Jeremy McLaurin for the vacant Minnesota Junior Welterweight crown.
Morris made his pro debut a little more than three years ago and as racked up a record of 9–2 in 11 pro fights with five knockouts on his resume.
‘Hooch’ is excited to finally get a title shot.
“I’ve been hungry since I started,” said Morris. “I’ve been asking for this for the longest, I’ve been trying to get certain names for the longest. Now I’ve got it, so come Saturday I’m going to go for that W.”
