UMD’s Eli Bicek Places 14th in Hammer Throw at D2 Outdoor Championships

Bicek ends his college career as a program record holder and the third UMD men's hammer thrower to compete at nationals.

DULUTH, Minn.- UMD thrower Eli Bicek was competing on the big stage last week at the D2 Outdoor Championships.

Bicek’s best hammer throw of the day was 56.76 meters, which outperformed all of his regular season throws.

He would finish 14th overall, tying UMD’s previous best performance at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in hammer throw.
