Huskies Struggle to Produce Runs in Loss to Border Cats

One run scored on seven hits

DULUTH, Minn.- After two games north of the US-Canadian Border, the Duluth Huskies couldn’t get their bats in order as they lost 9-1 to the Thunder Bay Border Cats on Friday at Wade Stadium.

The Huskies’ only run came in the third inning off a sac fly from MJ Sweeney. Jakob Schulz (1-1) took the loss on the mound, allowing four hits and two runs in one inning.

The Huskies will play the Border Cats at Wade Stadium once more on Saturday before returning to Thunder Bay for another two-game series.
