Pinehurst Beach Begins 2024 Season
CLOQUET, Minn.– The Beach at Cloquet is making a splash by opening for their 2024 season!
The Pinehurst beach is kicking off its summer season. With schools wrapping up for the year, it’s a great way to get outside during the summer months. The pool draws a crowd every season. They have several fun and unique features that separates them from other beaches.
“What I really love about our pool is it’s a sand bottom. We really don’t see that much anymore. But I think that’s something that makes us, you know, stand out to all the kids.” said Pinehurst Supervisor, Ellie Evenson.
The pool is a Cloquet neighborhood crowd favorite. The staff looks forward to seeing familiar faces from the past, as well as welcoming new ones. For some of the people, the enjoyment of the beach can last a lifetime. Or even lead to job opportunities.
“I think it’s a good place for families to come. I used to come here as a kid growing up all the time. It was fun to go swimming, bringing friends or family.” said Pinehurst Supervisor, Leah Nevin.
Safety is a priority for the beach. Before the season begins, the staff becomes CPR certified. They also take classes on water safety to ensure a safe and enjoyable season. To enjoy the pool, you will need to purchase a pass. For a family, passes costs $109. Individual passes costs $59.
