Two-Run 5th Lifts Grand Rapids Past Mankato East in AAA Quarterfinals

CHASKA, Minn.- The Grand Rapids baseball team made their record-setting 22nd state appearance on Thursday.

They celebrated in style, coming away with the 4 to 3 win over Mankato East in the Class AAA quarterfinals.

Easton Sjostrand pitched all seven innings, striking out eight batters.

The Thunderhawks will next play Mahtomedi in the semifinals on Friday. First pitch is at noon.
