Esko Baseball Plates Three in First Inning, Holds On Against Montevideo in AA Quarterfinals

Esko will next face Foley in the semifinals on Friday. First pitch is at 1:30 PM.

ST. CLOUD, Minn.- The Esko baseball team began their Class AA state title defense on Thursday, facing Montevideo in the AA quarterfinals.

Esko started fast, plating three runs in the bottom of the first, that included RBI’s from Bobby Thornton and Bryce Hipp.

The team had a little bit of a scare in the 4th though, with the Eagles putting up two runs.

But, that three-run first would be enough as Esko held on in the end, 3 to 2.

Esko will next face Foley in the semifinals on Friday. First pitch is at 1:30 PM.
