Springfield Tops Cherry in “Battle of the Tigers” for Class A Title Game Berth

Cherry places 4th after they fell to Sacred Heart 5-3 in the 3rd place game.

ST. CLOUD, Minn.- The Cherry baseball team saw their impressive season come to a close on Friday, falling to Springfield 4 to 2 in the Class A semifinals.

A three-run 5th inning by Springfield proved to be the difference maker as they took a 4 to 1 lead into the later innings.

Noah Sundquist was responsible for both of Cherry’s runs as he scored on a passed ball on the 2nd and then reached via an error in the 6th.
