MAPLE, Wis.- A Northwestern football standout won’t have to travel far for his next team.

On Thursday, junior running back and linebacker Cooper Lawton announced his commitment to UMD.

He’s coming off a monster season in which he tallied 16 touchdowns and over 1,100 rushing yards.
