10th Annual Taste of Hermantown

Empty stomachs left full, Thursday night

Taste buds were out of control today for the 10th annual taste of Hermantown. Thursday’s event was a chance for community members to come together to enjoy the company of others while enjoying the local cuisine.

The smell of the Shriner’s Temple was amazing as dozens of local restaurants came together to better the Hermantown community, and to raise money to for the Hermantown fund.

Economic growth has been a premium for the City in the last few years with the additions of Mill’s Fleet Farm, the St. Luke’s Clinic and the Holiday Inn Express.

Hermantown isn’t stopping there as more opportunities for expansion and development will be coming soon.

“There’s quite a bit of additional land in that area that’s poised for additional development. In addition, the city is looking at other opportunities for making land available and developable sites along highway 53,” says Steve Overom, Chairperson for Advance Hermantown Fund

The money raised tonight goes into a fund that administers grants for organizations that host community events for the city.
