Woman Arrested After ‘Accidental’ Shooting

DULUTH, Minn. — A 23-year-old woman was arrested early Thursday morning after she said she accidently shooting another 23-year-old woman.

Around 12:30 a.m., the Duluth Police Department responded to a report of a woman shot in the leg. This happened around N 1st Ave. E and 2nd St.

According to the report, a 23-year-old woman accidentally discharged her weapon hitting the victim in the hip area.

The woman did have a permit to carry and was arrested for Reckless Discharge of a weapon.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
