Itasca County Holds Child Care Town Hall Meeting

In Grand Rapids Tuesday the Greater Than MN project held a town hall meeting.

The goal of the project is to bring child care to rural communities in Minnesota, improving economic growth.

“If people are going to be at work and stay at work, or stay in rural communities. it’s really important for them to have access to childcare where they can be at work and be productive there,” said Heidi Hagel Braid, Regional Director for First Children’s Finance. 

Tuesday’s meeting was just about starting a conversation. Now greater than MN will move to create a community solution action plan for Itasca county. That plan is scheduled to be released the week of April 18.
