YWCA Duluth Hosts ‘Women of Distinction’ Luncheon

Honoring Those That Rise Above

Today was a very special day for empowering women across the Northland.

A ballroom at the DECC in Duluth filled with those attending this year’s Women of Distinction Luncheon, put on by the YWCA.

Those at the YWCA say empowering women is one of their biggest missions, and the women being honored exemplify that mission.

Those involved say to have distinction, a woman must rise above the crowd through dedication and selflessness.

“You dedicate yourself to a mission, to your passion, and you do everything in your power to make the world a better place for other people,” said Alice Jacobson, Director of External Programming with YWCA Duluth.

This is the thirteenth year the YWCA has held the Women of Distinction luncheon.
