Arrowhead Transit Expands Services Into Hibbing
HIBBING, Minn. – The largest rural public transportation provide just expanded their service, targeting more in the Hibbing area.
Arrowhead Transit is a vital lifeline for many people who live in the iron range and across northeastern Minnesota. Previously the city of Hibbing has had their own transportation service, but have slowed down and decreased services in recent years.
Arrowhead Transit has just announced that they’ll take over bus services in Hibbing on August 1, just as they’re currently offered. Bus lines in the Iron Range will offer more of a connection to neighboring communities like Grand Rapids and the Quad Cities.
“The city of Hibbing has been immensely great to work with,” said Dominick Olivanti, the marketing and public relations coordinator with Arrowhead Transit. “They’ve provided a lot of resources and help and assistance when we’ve needed it. The city staff and then the community has been showing just a ton of love and support for our transition here. And they’ve been giving us ideas and strategies and changes that we can implement that will benefit them in their community.”
One-way tickets with Arrowhead Transit only cost $2 for commuters. They also offer an unlimited bus pass for $36 each month.
