DULUTH, Minn.– School will be in full swing soon enough. And one local organization received a grant for that special time of year.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Northland paired up with Kohl’s to help them with school supplies this fall. Since 2019, Kohl’s has partnered up with the organization, supporting the youth across the nation. The Duluth Boys and Girls Club was selected and received a $2,000 grant. The retail store had an event Monday where organizers shopped for the things they need. The work they are doing is noticed by the kids.

“There’s always a great amount of gratitude.” said Chief Development Officer Tammy Sundbom, “We’re very fortunate to serve some kids that really do appreciate what the clubs have to offer. And I think it goes back to the connection they have with staff.”

Overall, Kohl’s has impacted about 4.3 million Boys and Girls club members nationwide.
