Northland’s Bloedel & Superior’s DeQuevedo Nominated for NCAA Women of the Year Award

Each player nominated is picked based off of academics, athletics, leadership, and service.

SUPERIOR, Wis.- Two local student-athletes have founds themselves up for a prestigous award.

Northland College’s Maddy Bloedel and UW-Superior’s Alexxa Dequevedo were each nominated for the NCAA Women of the Year award.

Bloedel plays golf and hockey for the Lumberjills. While, Dequevedeo is on the UW-Superior Track and Field team.

Each player nominated is picked based off of academics, athletics, leadership, and service.

The list will be trimmed down in the coming weeks.
