Kids Satisfy Sweet Tooth at Candyland Camp In Superior
SUPERIOR, Wis. — A dance studio in Superior is teaching everything sweet at a summer camp this week.
Sterling Silver Studio is hosting a Candyland Camp for kids ages 5 to 11. The 18 campers get to create their own candy, learn the science behind candy making, and experiment with their senses. And since they are at a dance studio, of course there are plenty of dance parties.
One counselor says this theme is always a hit. She hopes the kids take something away from this week.
“I hope that they have fun but at the same time I want to try and build discipline with the kids and have them be able to show each other respect and kindness to everybody and patience as well. Because there’s only a couple of us teaching and they always get a little bit rowdy but then they realize okay Miss Emma’s doing something, we just got to be patient so,” said Emmalyn Fornengo, camp counselor at Sterling Silver Studio.
