A Much Cooler Week

Remember the last couple weeks, when each day was hazy, hot and humid, with dewpoints reaching the low 70’s? That is so yesterday’s weather! That airmass has been replaced with Canadian high pressure that is bringing our high temps down to the 70’s (where they should be), and dewpoints down into the 50’s, which is much more comfortable for all of us! We are now past the hottest days of summer, and the days are getting shorter, with fall only about 6 weeks away. It’s not a sure thing, but chances are, we are done with high temps in the upper 80’s and close to 90 degrees for this summer.

For the rest of this week, cool high pressure from the north will keeps us in the 70’s for highs, and the 50’s for lows. Our best chances for rain will be on Monday, and again on Thursday, when another cool front passes over us from the northwest. Neither day looks to be a soaker, but I’ll be happy for whatever moisture we do get, as we’ve been pretty dry for a while. It was nice to get the almost half inch of rain we got on Saturday, but I would love to see more!

Have a great week, and enjoy the sunny skies and cooler temps!
