Friday Morning Northland Forecast: 8/9/2024
A Weekend Warmup!
The average high for this time of year is 77 degrees. We haven’t seen a day that warm since last week! After a couple more cool and breezy days, we will finally get back up to seasonal temperatures starting with the second half of the coming weekend.
A low pressure system stalled over the eastern Great Lakes region will keep us mostly cloudy, cool and windy today, with a 30% chance of light rain. But on Saturday, we will start to see more sunshine, and highs in the upper 60s. It will still be breezy, with winds out of the northwest, gusting to 25mph on Friday afternoon. But those winds will begin to subside on Saturday. We will have a nice stretch of sunny weather beginning on Saturday, and lasting well into next week. And once we reach the 70s for highs on Sunday, we will stay up there for all of next week, too. Our next chance for rain will come late next week. Otherwise, it’s fun in the sun, for this second weekend of August!
