Cloquet Native Westin Michaud Named Head Coach/GM of Austin Ice Bats

Michaud last suited up for C-E-C in the 2012 and 2013 season.

CLOQUET, Minn.- Former Cloquet hockey standout Westin Michaud is making the switch to a coaching career.

Late last week, Michaud was named the head coach and general manager of the Austin Ice Bats of the NA3HL.

The one-time Lumberjack forward just wrapped up a four-year pro career having stints in the AHL, ECHL, EIHL, and lastly playing overseas in Slovakia and Denmark.

Michaud last suited up for C-E-C in the 2012 and 2013 season. He tallied 57 points in 24 games of action.
