Two Stabbed in Virginia After Argument Over a Puppy, Non-Life-Threatening Injuries
VIRGINIA, Minn. — Two people were stabbed in the early morning hours on Wednesday after an argument over a puppy happened in the City of Virginia.
The Virginia Police Department says at 1:16 a.m. a report of a stabbing came through on the 200 block of Third Street South.
Authorities say a 32-year-old man arrived to take a puppy from one of the victims. The argument resulted in a 44-year-old woman being cut near the forehead and a 51-year-old man being stabbed multiple times.
The victims both sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
St. Louis County sent a K9 on scene to find the suspect. The K9 brought them to a residence on the 100 block of 2nd Avenue South where they drafted a search warrant. The suspect was arrested without incident and booked at the St. Louis County Jail on 2nd Degree Assault charges.
