DULUTH, Minn. – A local Duluth resident captured a once-in-a-lifetime scene with three bobcats while he was getting drone footage at the St. Louis River.
Mike Mayou was operating a drone on the river when he captured the scene. He says he has never encountered a situation like this, adding that Duluth is a great place to explore nature because you’ll never know what you’ll find.
“We have a beautiful community,” said Mike Mayou, a local photographer. “We have all of these great lakes and trails and places to recreate. IT’s really amazing that we have this opportunity during a global pandemic to go outside and social distance from our neighbors and still be able to enjoy the space we live in.”
Mayou, who also owns a photography business, says that while this was a chance meeting, he hopes that people will respect wildlife and make sure they keep their distance when filming animals in the future.
