22-Year-Old Arrested For Shooting Incident In Aurora, No Injuries

AURORA, Minn. — A 22-year-old man has been arrested after a shooting occurred Monday night.

The East Range Police Department says around 7 p.m. a report of a shooting happened on East 3rd Avenue South in Aurora. A call about a 54-year-old woman screaming 911 after a bang was heard came in. After that a 22-year-old man called saying he shot someone.

The man was arrested, and the victim was found about a half block away from the residence.

Authorities say the victim fell, scraping her knee at the same time the gunshot was fired. The bullet missed the victim and hit a neighbor’s house. No one was shot.

Police conducted a search warrant at the residence where the firearm was retrieved.

There is no word on what charges the 22-year-old is facing.
