Aurora Shooting Suspect Charged

22-year-old charged with attempted murder

AURORA, Minn. — A 22-year-old Biwabik man was booked into the St. Louis County Jail today, according to jail records.

Court documents show that Landon Tuomala is facing several charges, including attempted second-degree murder, stemming from a Tuesday shooting in Aurora.

Tuesday, East Range Police Department responded to a 911 call from a man, reportedly Tuomala, claiming they had shot someone. When responding, officers located Tuomala and took him into custody.

Officers then located the alleged victim, who was unharmed. The female victim said she ran from Tuomala when he pointed a gun at her. She tripped, and as she fell, heard the gun fire. A bullet hole was located in a nearby house by officers.
