GRAND RAPIDS, Minn.- Grand Rapids native and longtime NHL defenseman Alex Goligoski is calling it a career.
Over the course of 1,078 games, he tallied 475 points for four different teams.
Goligoski played the final three years of his career with his homestate team, the Minnesota Wild.
He also hoisted the top prize in hockey, Lord Stanley in the 2009 season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, after skating in two postseason games for them.
Overall, Goligoski played for 17 seasons.
