Presidential Debate Watch Party

Douglas County Democrats host watch party for Presidential Debate

DULUTH, Minn. – New stage, new hosts, and one new candidate.

It was the second Presidential Debate tonight, but the first between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Haris.

To watch their party’s new nominee, members of Douglas County Democrats held a watch party at their headquarters in Superior. Despite the change in candidates since the previous debate, members and volunteers were excited to watch Harris take the stage

“You know I’m excited,” said volunteer Penny Graskey, “Obviously it’s a nervous time, but I believe in Kamala so much, I think she’s a strong debater. Especially being a prosecutor. And I-I really think she’s gonna do well.”

Both Senator J.D. Vance, and Govenor Tim Walz, will meet in their first vice presidential debate, hosted by CBS, on Oct. 1.
