Friends of Superior Public Library Annual Book Sale
SUPERIOR, Wis. — For nearly 22 years, the Friends of the Superior Public Library puts on a book sale to help cater to the local book enthusiasts!
The pop-up shop on Friday opened their doors for people to check out their books. The library had to sort through close to 10,000 book donations for this event, as well as future events and the work is paying off. Accessibility is the goal for this sale, and they’re selling cheap priced books. As well as a donation will call option. Friends of the Superior Library say the entire system is a cycle that gives back to the community.
“This is giving them the opportunity to get books that are greatly reduced to what you get in the store. Actually, I used to run a bookstore so I’m well acquainted to how the prices have increased. So, anything you get here is way below retail price. But it you know, puts books in the hands of people for a very reasonable cost,” said Craig Scherf, Executive Committee, Friends of the Library.
You still have a chance to browse the book and movie selection. The sale will be continuing Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
