Esko Teen Shot, Killed in Daytona Beach

A 19-year-old from Esko was shot and killed in Daytona Beach on Saturday.

According to the Daytona Beach Police Department, Ethan Jared Halverson died after being shot in the back. 

Police say Halverson was involved in an altercation with another male when he was shot.  

After the shooting, the victim’s friends brought him to another location before calling for help. 

Police say a suspect has been identified, but has not been arrested. 

Halverson was studying Electrical Engineering at the University of Central Florida.
