Man Struck, Killed by Pickup Truck In Duluth

Duluth police are investigating a fatal accident involving a driver and a pedestrian.

The accident happened around 2 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of 6th Avenue East and 6th Street.

A pickup truck driven by a 21-year-old female struck a 56-year-old man, according to officers on scene.

That man was pronounced dead on the scene.

Authorities believe the woman was making a turn onto 6th Avenue East from 6th Street before the man was struck.

The accident was blocked off Sunday afternoon with the body covered by a sheet and a tent.

Duluth police have identified the driver as 21-year-old Savanna Olson. The man was 56-year-old James Mulligan.

The investigation is on-going at this time.
