The owner hoping to get the word out about the benefits of plant ownership. Educating the public that plants not only add life to spaces, but also create positive mental health benefits gleaned by taking care of those little leafy friends.
“Plants just make you so happy, they are proven to reduce stress in people’s lives,” said Kathy Marthaler, owner and Sweet Greens Plantscapes. “They just bring warmth to the room, they give people something to look forward to and take care of, it’s rewarding, I’ve even had, worked with people who are either in the nursing home, or are recovering addicts, and it’s giving them something that’s rewarding.”
