UMD Hosts A Fall Feast
DULUTH, Minn.– UMD is recognizing the change of seasons in a special way.
The American Indian Learning Resource Center hosted a gathering to welcome in the fall season. This celebration is showcasing the new and returning students, having a meal together and enjoying each other’s company. A fall feast symbolizes the change of seasons, and the new opportunities that often follow. Being able to come together as a community means a lot for some of the officials.
And what we do appreciate about this greatly this is the opportunity for us to showcase our communication with other entities. You know there’s other indigenous and nonindigenous entities that come show support for what we’re doing here today. And what we do for our native and nonnative students on campus,” said Jeremy Wilson, Assistant Director of the AILRC.
Wilson also says it’s a great opportunity to learn more about other cultures, while mingling with fellow classmates and staff.
