Aitkin Woman Arrested After Fentanyl Seizure

Hazelton Township, Aitkin County. — A 28-year-old woman from Aitkin faces charges after authorities seized over 200 fentanyl pills and several grams of fentanyl powder on October 2, 2024.

The Aitkin-Itasca-Mille Lacs Violent Crime Enforcement Team and Aitkin County Sheriff’s deputies conducted search warrants in Hazelton Township, according to a press release, leading to the arrest for 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance.

The suspect was already on probation from a 2023 conviction for 2nd Degree Drugs (fentanyl) and multiple counts of child endangerment involving a near overdose of a two-year-old.

Additional charges are expected for others involved in the case.
