Barnes and Noble Hosts ‘Story Time With A Cop’

DULUTH, Minn.– A Duluth police officer put down his badge and picked up a book for some reading time with kids.

It’s all part of the police department’s “story time with a cop” program.
Sgt. Ethan Roe read to children at Barnes and Noble at the Miller Hill Mall.
It was a perfect opportunity to give the students something fun to do on this first day of Minnesota Education Association weekend also known as “MEA”.

“It is, it absolutely is very interesting too, and very rewarding to see the kids and the way enjoying being around the police officers. Being around the squad. I remember when I was their age I was in the same boat. So, it not only can potentially lead to a career but it’s the enjoyment they get with having some fun stuff they don’t get to see every day,” said Sgt. Ethan Roe.

The kids also got some give-away bags and then families enjoyed special discounts at the food court.
