Giant Pumpkins Arrive at Pier B Hotel
DULUTH, Minn.– Two giant pumpkins have made their way into the Northland, and they’re getting carved up to perfection!
The pumpkins, weighing in at nearly 1,300 pounds each are on display at the Pier B hotel.
The giant gourds were grown at Jerry’s Pumpkin Patch in Sturgeon Lake.
And they were planted all the way back in early May.
The owner of the patch told Fox 21; the reactions are priceless.
“I just enjoy sharing giant pumpkins with or pumpkins in general with anybody. But the smile it brings to adults, not just kids, is just a smile you don’t get to see very often anymore,” said Jerry Gibson, a pumpkin grower.
The pumpkins began getting their makeovers at 8 AM Friday morning.
They stuck around on display all weekend for Pier B’s celebration of fall.
