Koi Perich Named Big Ten Freshman of the Week

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.- Esko’s Koi Perich continues to make a name for himself in his debut season at the University of Minnesota.

On Saturday, Perich hauled in his 5th interception of the season in Minnesota’s 48 to 23 win over Maryland.

He’s now tied for 4th in program history for interceptions in a season.

Even better news for Perich, he was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Monday.

It’s the 4th weekly honor this season for number three.

Perich and the Gophers will next be in action on Saturday at Illinois.
