Semi Driver Hospitalized After Single-Vehicle Roll Over Crash

VIRGINIA, Minn. — A semi driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after a single-vehicle accident this morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the driver, a 50-year-old male from Iron, Minnesota, was traveling northbound on Highway 53 near County Road 142 when he swerved onto the shoulder, overcorrected, and rolled onto his side.

He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Road conditions were dry, and alcohol is not considered to be a factor.
