Upper Lakes Foods Hosts Fall Food Show At DECC
DULUTH, Minn. — The DECC was sizzling with flavor on Tuesday as Upper Lakes Foods hosted it’s Fall Food Show.
There was much to loaf at the venue from interactive demonstrations to fresh products, promotions and seminars. Upper Lakes Foods serves a range of customers from restaurants to schools, to healthcare settings, and far more. The show is designed to give those customers a chance to see and even taste test everything there is to offer.
“Well, were here to promote kind of really everything that we represent. Each of these tables is all of our different manufacturers and um, yeah, we show the products that they want in the show and yeah,” said Troy Rognrud, Food Broker.
Vendors came from the local to the national level to show their stuff. Fox 21 caught up with one vendor who gave us a taste of the wide variety of products they brought.
“We have nine different soups here today. Some new global flavors – a harissa white bean, a Cuban black bean soup, a Mexican street corn soup,” said Tim Hunt, CORE Foodservice. “We have salmon, we have shrimp, we have brisket, we have macaroni and cheese, we have different types of cheeses, we have pretzels. So, we’re here presenting these products to people that they can utilize in their restaurants.”
The soup-er flavorful show ended at 3 p.m. on Tuesday. The next event is in the spring.
