Koi Perich Named Semifinalist for Freshman of the Year Award

Golden Gophers are back in action on Saturday against Rutgers.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.- Earlier this week, Esko native Koi Perich was named a semifinalist for the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year award.

As of now, Perich has recorded five interceptions and 16 total tackles on the season.

Perich has also earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, Big Ten Freshman of the Week, Shaun Alexander Freshman Player of the Week, and National Defensive Back of the Week honors.

Finalists for the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year award will be announced on December 4th, 2024.

The Gophers next game is on Saturday against Rutgers.
