UWS Women’s Soccer Earns Multiple UMAC Honors
Ten Yellowjackets earn UMAC honors.
SUPERIOR, Wis.– The UW-Superior women’s soccer team earned several UMAC honors on Tuesday.
Ten Yellowjackets total received UMAC awards.
Mya Holmquist was named the UMAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Year and Brenna Mattson earned UMAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Year.
Earning a spot on the All-Sportsmanship Team was Tori Vosburg.
Five Yellowjackets earned All-UMAC First Team honors which include, Niya Wilson, Mya Holmquist, Lindrey Schendel, Meagan Bergerson, and Brenna Mattson.
Earning Second Team honors was Erika Schneider and Quinn Clark.
Head coach Allison DeGroot was also recognized in UMAC honors, being awarded Co-Coach of the Year. Sharing the award with Crown College’s head coach Katie Kandt.
UWS finished the season with a record of 15-7.
The Yellowjackets will face Carleton in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
