Three-Time Duluth Home Invasion Suspect Charged

DULUTH, Minn. — After three violent and random home invasions in Duluth last week, the suspect is now charged.

Jeffery Scott Montana, 48, who also goes by the last name of Undahl, lives in the Gateway Tower on West Superior Street.

Montana is accused of forcing himself into three homes between Nov. 4 and 6 – one in the 200 block of West Kent Road, another in the 1500 block of Vermilion Road and the third in the 2500 block of East 2nd Street.

The victims ranged from 70 to 85 years old.

Some of the victims were struck over the head with billy club-type object, according to the criminal complaint.

In all cases, the victims reported Montana wanting money or other valuables, like a purse.

Montana is facing three first-degree burglary charges and charges of kidnapping to commit to a crime.
