Cloquet’s Ava Carlson Named MIAC Volleyball Rookie of the Year

Carlson is the first Auggie to earn Rookie of the Year.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.- The MIAC announced volleyball honors for the 2024 season on Wednesday.

Cloquet native Ava Carlson was named MIAC Rookie of the Year for Augsburg University.

Carlson wrapped up her first season as an Auggie averaging 2.51 kills and 2.67 digs per set.

She also led first-year players in points, averaging 2.94 per set.

Carlson is the first Auggie to earn MIAC Rookie of the Year award.
