Hayward Girls Hoops Opens Season with Overtime Win in Superior

Hayward (1-0) is set to host Bloomer on November 21st.

SUPERIOR, Wis.- Both the Hayward and Superior girls basketball teams opened up their regular seasons on Tuesday.

It took overtime to decide a winner and the Hurricanes eventually came out on top 60 to 58.

Melody Isham finished with 13 points for Hayward.

Annabel Mannion had a team-leading 23 points for the Spartans. Ava Meierotto was just behind her with 15.

Superior (0-1) will next play Chippewa Falls on November 26th.

Hayward (1-0) is set to host Bloomer on November 21st.
