Friday Morning Morthland Forecast: 11/22/2024

Happy Friday morning, Northland! We have almost made it to the weekend, and it has been a pretty wild week in weather. We got to see record breaking rain, some strong winds, and even snow for some of us. As we make it into the weekend, the weather will calm down a bit, with the main things being some lingering clouds and a possibility of snow going late into Sunday. For today, it will be a little cooler but still decently mild with a high of 38 and an overnight low of 30. It will be a bit cloudy, but some sun might poke out as we head into the afternoon. Winds will be out of the northwest at about 10-15 mph, so still a bit breezy but not like the gusts we have seen yesterday. Overall, a cloudy but pleasant day for your Friday.

Looking into tomorrow, much of the same as we will see today, with some clouds but the sun still making its presence known. Tomorrows high will be 35 with an overnight low of 32, with calm winds out of the northwest. Things do begin to change up Sunday, with winds coming out of the east and an overcast sky for most of the day, and a high of 37. As we move later into Sunday, there is a chance for snow with a clipper moving through, especially for those of us along the Canadian border and in the South Shore snowbelt. Even though there won’t be a ton of snow with this system, be careful if you will be out and about, as any snow on untreated roads especially can make conditions hazardous. If you do get decent snow, definitely go outside and enjoy it!

Looking into next week, the major change will be the cooler conditions we will be having. It has been relatively mild the past few weeks temperature wise, but that will change as cold air will start to make its way down into the US. The Climate Prediction Center’s outlook for the coming two weeks paints below average temperatures for the Northland as that cold air mass from Canada pushes south. Get ready for the more winter-like temperatures coming up next week and I hope you have a wonderful Friday and Weekend!
