CHUM in Need of Winter Clothes
DULUTH, Minn.– The temps are getting cooler and organizations like CHUM needs help keeping families who use their shelter stay warm.
With winter on the brink, more and more people are accessing the shelter.
And with that, the demand for winter clothes is going up.
CHUM specifically needs gloves to help avoid frost bite.
Another thing they’re looking for, is shelf stable food items such as soup cans and cereal.
As of right now, they’re having a hard time keeping up with the demand.
“Supporting CHUM is a way to contribute. It motivates us and motivates all of our employees to be able to receive this good will from folks in our community. Duluth is an incredible community. Their hearts are large and gives constantly to support this. I feel really blessed to be a part of this, and our employees as well,” said John Cole, Executive Director for CHUM.
If you’re interested in donating to CHUM, you can drop off gently used clothing, food, or cash at 102 W Second Street in downtown Duluth.
Donations are accepted Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM.
