Scott Arntson Steps Down as Head Coach of Esko Football Team
Arntson has been the head coach since 2016.
ESKO, Minn.- Soon the Esko football team will look a little bit different on the sidelines.
That’s because longtime head coach Scott Arntson has stepped down.
Arntson confirmed the decision to Jamey Malcomb of the Duluth News Tribune, citing he wants to spend more time with his grandchildren.
Arntson has been the head coach since 2016.
He had quite the run from 2021 to 2023 as Esko only had one loss each season, with all happening in the Class AAA quarterfinals.
Arntson has also coached at Duluth Marshall and the College of St. Scholastica.
