Annual Ice and Fishing & Winter Show Begins
DULUTH, Minn.– The DECC is reeling in all the anglers this weekend for one of their most popular annual events.
The annual event gives anglers the chance to check out a variety of products and accessories for ice fishing.
From special rods and lures to fancy ice houses.
Sea Lion Splash is also featuring its team of sea lions, giving daily performances showcasing their tricks.
This year, fishing enthusiasts can learn about delicious ways to enjoy their fresh catch through cooking demos.
“It’s fun to show people how to make something that’s very, very tasteful. You know there’s nothing like going out and catching your own fish and cooking those up and you know, it’s pretty fun,” said Grant Sorensen, a vendor for Field and Flame.
There is so much to see and experience at this show.
So, this year, they’re offering people to return a second day for free.
“You can come back a second day for free. If there’s too much to see, too much to do. Make sure you sign up at the return ticket booth. Show a photo ID, and come back another day,” explained Chris Navratil, the show manager.
The show runs through the entire weekend.
It costs adults $10 to attend $7 dollars for kids aged 6-17, and children five and under can attend for free.
