Arrest Made in Mankato West Hockey Stick Theft

DULUTH, Minn. – Duluth Police say they have arrested a 23-year-old male suspected of stealing over 30 hockey sticks from the Mankato West High School boys’ hockey bus on Saturday, while parked near the Downtown Holiday Inn.

The Duluth Police Department announced it arrested a suspect, in connection with the theft of the Mankato West high school hockey team’s sticks.

On Saturday morning, police were called to an area near the Downtown Holiday Inn, for a reported theft. The team reported that they stored their sticks on their team bus overnight, and they were now gone.

Today, the department announced the arrest of a 23-year-old male, and pending charges of Felony Theft. They said that over 30 sticks will be returned to the team.
