Duluth Public Library Celebrates “Noon” Year’s Eve

Library Noon Years Still

DULUTH, Minn.– The Duluth Public Library wasted no time with ringing in the new year.

The “Noon Year’s Eve” celebration catered to the kids who are too young to wait for the real thing.

The kids got to make some crafts, have a dance party, and play with a bubble machine.

When the clock struck noon, a shower of balloons was dropped.

For New Year’s celebrations, the Duluth Public Library staff says it’s important to include everybody.

“I think especially for that really early birth to 5 age there’s not a lot of stuff for them to do in the wintertime in general but then trying to accommodate those early bedtimes and going back to school I think it works out really well. Just to give them something to do during the day,” said Carmella Hatch, the Early Literacy Coordinator for the Duluth Public Library.

This celebration was one of the library’s bigger turn outs with nearly 300 kids filtering in as the party went on.
