World of Wheels Rolls into New Year’s Eve Celebration
SUPERIOR, Wis.– For nearly two decades, World of Wheels has been putting on their version of a New Year’s Eve celebration.
For one of the roller rink’s busiest days of the year, there was plenty to do to celebrate.
Kids got to roller skate and blade. A candy scramble, plenty of noise makers and hats.
All in anticpation of the two balloon drops at 3 PM and 8 PM.
For one of the employees, he’s grateful to be helping the kids make lasting New Year’s Eve memories.
“It makes me feel pretty good. It’s nice to have a place for the kiddos to go. I remember when I was growing up, I didn’t really have a place I could go to and celebrate New Year’s Eve. Or Noon Years Eve, I was always in bed later on. So, it’s nice to have a place for the kiddos to celebrate, especially with their families,” said David Grapetin, a manager at World of Wheels.
Kids also got to participate in skating games such as the limbo.
They also got to try their luck at several drawings for gift cards.
